WhatsApp the workshop

Fastest route to a person. Send a photo of the error and we will tell you whether it needs a visit.

Best for quotes, orders and anything that needs a paper trail. We reply the same working day.

Remote desk support

We can take a look without leaving the workshop.

Many problems — settings, mail, printers, software errors — are solved faster over a secure remote session than by anyone driving anywhere. Download AnyDesk, phone us, and read out the number it shows you. You stay in control and can end the session at any time.

AnyDesk

Step one: download AnyDesk

Then call 010 030 2728 or WhatsApp 061 547 0747 and give us the address it displays. Never share that number with anyone who phones you unexpectedly.

Visit us

Two branches, both easy to find.

Bring the machine in and we will book it straight onto the bench. No appointment needed during working hours.

Who to ask for

Direct lines, so you are not passed around.

Speed things up

Three things worth trying first.

None of these will fix a failed drive, but they solve a surprising share of the calls we take — and if they do not, you will have narrowed the problem down before you reach us.

  1. Restart properly

Shut down and power off, wait ten seconds, then start again. Closing the lid is not the same thing, and a full restart clears a large share of odd behaviour.

  2. Check the physical layer

Power, network cable, plug points and the switch on the wall. Note any lights that are off or a colour you have not seen before — that detail helps us diagnose over the phone.

  3. Write down the exact error

Photograph the message on screen. The precise wording often points straight at the cause and can save a call-out entirely.

A note on scams: we will never phone you out of the blue to say your computer is infected, and we will never ask for banking passwords or a one-time PIN. If someone claiming to be from Vertex asks for remote access you did not arrange, end the call and phone us on 010 030 2728.
